Tribunj

A picturesque Dalmatian village is placed in the center of Šibenik-Knin County coastline (12 km from Šibenik, 50 from Zadar, next to the centre of summer night party town – Vodice). A specific geographic position has divided Tribunj into a peninsular historical old town (narrow streets, thickset houses with beautiful view of the islands Lukovnjak and Logorun) and an urban continental part with a lot of good quality restaurants and accommodation capacities.

Today’s Tribunj is economically developing in a touristic direction (the beaches: Bristak, Zamalin and Sovlja, the nautical marina, cultural and entertainment events: traditional donkey races unique in the world, fishermen’s festivity with a spectacular defile of the biggest fishing fleet on the Adriatic, different ‘’klapa’’ concerts (traditional Dalmatian group of singers) on the Summer stage and in the Culture Centre…), but it’s also proud of fishing and olive growing which have brought up local population.

The Tribunj hinterland is an area of ecological food production with beautiful olive groves and vineyards.
Arranged biking and walking field paths, and the belvedere on Križine invite everybody with an athlete spirit to come for a walk, a hike or a ride.

And in the end we advise all the visitors: walk along the arranged path from the centre of the village to the hill and the church of St. Nicholas (Mikula), where you will be amazed by the beautiful view of the hinterland, surrounding villages, the sea and the archipelago which is the most interesting in this part of the Adriatic Sea – the most indented and the most beautiful.
